- Future Plans of PseudoCode
-
- We envision 3 levels of the PseudoSam series of Cross-Assemblers:
-
- I. Basic Assembly Language with no frills, but all the
- necessary tools to develop working programs.(no cost)
-
- II. Advanced assembly language with powerful Macros and
- Conditional Assembly.(low cost)
-
- III. Professional assembly language with Library handlers,
- Link Editing, and Relocatable Loading.(moderate cost)
-
- We are currently developing Machine Simulators to complement our
- line of cross assemblers. Watch for our ADs in the Classified
- sections of Byte, Micro Cornucopia, and Computer Shopper.

- PseudoSam Cross-assemblers
-
- PseudoCode is pleased to announce the release of Level II of the
- PseudoSam family of cross development products.
-
- EXTENSIVE EXPRESSION HANDLING
-
- PseudoSam cross-assemblers provide the following arithmetic and
- logical operations.
-
- Logical bitwise not.
-
- Logical bitwise or.
-
- Logical bitwise exclusive or.
-
- Addition.
-
- Subtraction.
-
- Multiplication.
-
- Division.
-
- Logical bitwise and.
-
- Logical shift right.
-
- Logical shift left.
-
- Negation(2's complement).
-
- Unlimited parethesization.
-
-
- MACROS
-
- With the release of Level II PseudoSam assemblers now have the
- following macro processor based capabilities:
-
- Very powerful macro substitution capability.
-
- Unlimited nesting of macros.
-
- Unlimited nesting of conditionals.
-
- Unlimited levels of include files.
-
- Text string pattern matching.
-
- Substring manipulation.
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Commonality among all cross-assemblers.
-
-
- 1. All PseudoSam(Pseudo brand Symbolic AsseMbler) assemblers
- conform to a common syntax based on the UNIX V assembler
- syntax. The opcode and addressing syntax is compatible with
- the manufacturers but label, directive, and expression
- operator syntax will in general differ. PseudoCode chose
- this syntax because of the popularity of the Unix system and
- to avoid the difficulty of maintaining compatibility with
- the multitude of Original Equipment Manufacturer's assembler
- formats. This commonality also makes the transition to a new
- processor easier and faster.
-
- 2. The macro processor is based on the Unix V M4 macro
- preprocessor. Although Level II does not implement all of
- the features of M4, it is more flexible and powerful than
- macro processors generally associated with Assembly
- language.
-
- 3. Although Level II does not support the useful feature of
- relocatability you will find PseudoSam assemblers capable
- tools for developing microprocessor based systems.
-
-
-
-
